AVERY'S 3rd BIRTHDAY!

First of all, I cannot believe my baby is three! And yes, I will say this every birthday when she becomes another year older. It will always amaze me that she is no longer my little baby. Avery's first gift was getting to sleep in the bed with us the night before. She always wants to and we let her do it about once a week. She was thrilled. When we were woken up in the morning by Evan, we brought him in for our breakfast in bed that we do every morning. After we ate we had a little present for Avery and we sang her "Happy Birthday."

Notice the Disney princess wrapping paper. She is all about princesses, and I think she loved the added touch.

Shocked that its a Belle doll from Beauty and the Beast.

Shock now becoming excitement.
(Within 1 hour the hair was a little messed up, not unlike Avery's bedhead, and a shoe was missing. I made a rule. Mommy is not in charge of Belle's shoes. Period.)

Evan was happy as a clam playing with the discarded wrapping paper.

After dropping Evan off at Danielle's and a brief stop by my office, the three of us went to First Watch for brunch. Avery liked her chocolate chip pancakes and turkey sausage.

After breakfast we headed to Build-A-Bear. For those of you who do not know, it is a place where you pick out a stuffed animal, fill it with stuffing and pick out an outfit. Its probably one of the most expensive stuffed animals you could ever buy.

First, we had to choose one from the large selection.

Avery originally chose a dragon since we were going to go see the "How to Train a Dragon"
movie once we were finished at Build-A-Bear. But after seeing princess outfits she quickly realized a dragon would not do and chose a pink bear instead.

Since it was her birthday, they gave her a special necklace to wear.

Avery then had to step on the foot pedal to make the stuffing go into the bear.

Bear being stuffed.

Grabbing a little heart to put in the bear.

Before it can go in, she had to rub it on her nose and make a wish. (According to the Build-a -Bear lady this had to be done.)

Next, it was time to give the bear a "bath" and comb her hair.

Then put her in her clothes. Avery chose a princess Ariel outfit (Little Mermaid)

And yes folks, it came with a red wig!

By the end of the day, the wig did not look as good as it did fresh out of the bag. But thats what happens when several kids decide to wear it around and it gets dragged across the floor. Oh well. But just to let you know, Avery would choose the only outfit in the whole place with a wig. The thing that does not stay on and she continually asks me to put back on.

The bears then get a little birth certificate and a home to carry them in. She had a great time and carried the box the whole time.

Now onto the movie! (And Reese's Pieces!)

She could not wait to see the movie.
(It was really cute)

We were the only people in there 10 minutes before the movie started, but two other people did join us.
It was a wonderful day. I know she had a wonderful time and I look forward to all the birthdays to come.
Happy Birthday Sweet Pea! We love you!
