Avery's First Stitches (and hopefully the only time she needs stitches)

Three days before I left on my trip, Avery fell down and cut her chin on a patio paver stone. She ended up needing four stitches. It was a pretty deep cut. She was so brave and did not cry while getting the stitches. We were so proud of her. That night Evan got the stomach flu. Then two days later Avery tripped again and cut her chin right above her stitches. They had to use skin glue this time. She cried during that because the doctor squeezed her skin together to put the skin glue on and she did not like that. What a wonderful few days, and this was only the start of our month from hell. While on my trip, Evan developed croop. When I got home, Avery developed croop, I got strep throat, Evan got pink eye then an ear infection, Avery had a sinus infection and then I got one on top of the strep. And somewhere in the midst of this Matt had a cold too.  This all occurred in a three week period. We cannot wait for January to be over and behind us.

 The first four stitches.
