Evan took his first hike in the big back pack (versus the baby bjorn) at Blendon Woods. For the first time we did not have Charlie with us and were able to go on a new trail for once. There is only one trail here where dogs are permitted.
Evan wasn't sure what to think when we first put him in.
Not sure what was going on here.
Evan was the only one with hiking boots on (thank you Josh!) and the only one not walking.

At one point two wild turkeys crossed our path. It was pretty cool.
After a mile Avery was tired. I can't blame her, she's three and did a great job walking by herself.
Evan was tired too. He found the perfect headrest.

Eventually Matt's shoulders got tried and she found a new spot on my hip.
When we got back to the car Evan stayed asleep when we put him on the ground.
And while Evan slept, Avery had to pee. No potty was around, so I had her squat in the grass. She thought it was pretty funny.
After a mile Avery was tired. I can't blame her, she's three and did a great job walking by herself.
