Other Activities on Vacation

Besides going to the beach and out to dinner on vacation, we did some other activities.

Every morning we took a walk with the kids. Sometimes we ended up at the playground, which the kids really enjoyed.

We were also in the pool...everyday. Avery LOVED the pool. She had a life jacket that she wore, and then she would shimmy into a little inner tube and she was completely independent from us. Jumping in with no one to catch her. She thought she was pretty grown up. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of her, only videos on the video camera. Its funny when you think you have taken pictures or videos of something and then realize after going through them that you have not.

Evan was not as big of fan of the pool as Avery. I think he enjoys his independence too much and having to float around in a floatie wasn't his style. He preferred the beach and being able to crawl to the water.

One morning we drove to the beach designated specifically for the wild mustangs. You are permitted to drive on the beach. It was really beautiful seeing a beach with not a soul on it...except for some pelicans.

We made another stop at the lighthouse in historic Corolla, and also toured the wildlife education center.

We got some ice cream with Brittany.

Avery with pink ice cream of course.

Avery took the camera and started taking some pictures. Here are some of her shots.

We had a seafood dinner out on the porch and enjoyed the sunset.
