Our 4th of July Weekend

I know this is posted two months late, but better late than never. Over the Fourth of July weekend we met up with our friends, the Conleys, and watched the Granville fireworks. I already knew Avery liked them but was not sure how Evan would do. He was completely mezmerized by them and did not even flinch from the first boom. He really enjoyed them and was not cranky despite the fireworks starting at 10:00--way past his bedtime. Matt bought all the kids glow in the dark necklaces, which was a big hit.

The next day we headed to Easton for some shopping and some fountain time. The fountains are always a hit.

The next day we headed to the zoo to see the new polar bear exhibit, which is really nice. The bears were very active and playful and a riot to watch. The baby elephant and its mother were also out playing in their swimming hole and were cute as can be. We later saw one of the tigers right up by the window...we usually never see them. They are always hiding. Despite it being ridiculously hot, it was a great day at the zoo.
